We are currently looking to add one associate photographer to the Lux&Ember team as a part time 2nd shooter & possibly lead photographer if interested.
The Associate Photographer is an independent contractor of Lux&Ember Photography by photographing events under Lux&Ember.

BEING AN ASSOCIATE PHOTOGRAPHER FOR LUX&EMBER IS IDEAL FOR:

A photographer who loves shooting but doesn’t necessarily enjoy the business side of things.
A photographer looking to get into weddings. Training in our brand style is included.
Someone shooting weddings part-time and not really interested in making it your full time business, or looking to fill in your schedule.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Some photography experience, wedding preferred but not a must

QUALIFICATIONS:

Reliable Transportation
A current portfolio for us to view
Must be 18 years of age or older
Willing to sign our independent contractor & non-solicitation agreement.
Can commit to weddings 6-12months out and fulfill all contractual obligations that you’ve committed to, or get another team member to cover for you.

YOUR ROLE:

Pre wedding meetings with couples (in person or via video chat) when requested by couples that have booked you. It’s important that if you are the primary shooter that you have a prior relationship with them. (does not apply for second shooting).
Photographing weddings alongside Paul as a second photographer until hired as an associate/lead. Paid at second shooter rate. After hired you will not need to second shoot unless you want to.
Please note – this is an independent contractor position. Associates may maintain their own business license, shooting, jobs, etc, outside of our position.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This will be a position that is compatible with another part time or full time job. We will work with you around your schedule.
Weddings are not for everyone. The ideal associate will need a love for wedding photography, flexible schedule, patience and a willingness to work hard.
We will be responsible for the booking process, administration, post processing, and delivery of the finished product to clients.
Pay varies based upon experience, equipment, and wedding.
